I purchased Lalah's new album "Where It All Begins" soon after it was released and as many times as I'd listened to this song, I NEVER once paid attention to the words. The "4 on the floor" house beat, in my opinion, is a bit distracting. Telling someone that you're "My Everything" deserves to be paid attention to.
I approached this remix differently that I've approached others in the past. I listened to the vocal track over & over again until I "felt" her. Once I really felt the story she was telling, I was off and running. I decided to turn this song into a "slow jam" because it would allow the listener to really tune in to what she was saying.
I won't go into full details on the "process" I used... just know that I remixed this song for the listeners. NOT for myself, NOT for the contest, and NOT for the prizes. I remixed this song for YOU. I really hope everyone appreciates my remix as much as I appreciate having the opportunity to create this piece of art for you.
