So... I'm on break and in mid-conversation at 1917 American Bistro when Legendary MASTER Percussionist Bill Summers walks in. He calls me over from the table and says, "Man, I heard about this project you're working on. How come I ain't on it?" My response (while my best friend Tony Gordon is looking at me like "SAY SOMETHING") was...Oh, uh, ummm... I'ont know... but YOU ARE NOW!!" LOL!!
I've admired this man's work for a LONG time and I've even sampled some of his material. From his days with Herbie Hancock's "Headhunters", to his work with Quincy Jones on The Color Purple, Roots, and one of my favorite movies, The Wiz... to his solo works.
I'm VERY honored to welcome him to the cast of #XII.
