Good Afternoon everyone. Just dropping in to give you all a bit of information about the progress on my album #XII and it's release.
Due to lack of finances (even after the Indiegogo Campaign), and scheduling conflicts, the album will NOT be released on December 12, 2012 (12/12/12).
I apologize for the delay, but the album IS coming!! I PROMISE you that. I, and the artists on this album are working very diligently to make this happen. I'm also working on the financial end of it. This album WILL happen. PERIOD.
At the moment, I and my distribution company are looking at a 1st Quarter release in 2013. Probably around March or April.
There are numerous reasons for this.
1. The music industry is shut down from Thanksgiving until the New Year. Everyone is at home with their families and no one is really checking for new artist or new music (other than holiday music) around this time. With all of the special guests I have on this record, I need the industry to have their eyes open. I need as much attention on it as possible. It's hard to break a new artist around the holiday.
2. The 1st quarter is when the industry is looking for new artists and looking for the new "hot" music for the year. To sum it all up, the best move for me is to wait until people's (industry) attention is focused and looking for new music.
