XII Has Great Meaning to Me... Here's Why!!

So... a lot of people have been asking me why the number XII (12) is so significant to me, why I was naming my album that, why I wanted to release it in 2012, etc. Well... let me break it down so it can forever and consistently be broke (Love Jones).

(12) is a number of completion. How many inches make up a ruler? How many months are there in a year? How many disciples did Jesus have? I could go on for days about this.

(12) is the last of the four numbers God uses to show his perfection. It's the number that shows God is in control and actively ruling over something as King. When God wants to show us that He is ruling and that there is a perfect plan, He likes to use the number twelve in his language.

God is absolutely in control of my album and it's process. There are MANY things lining up for this album and people saying yes to be on it that I would not have expected... not because of me, but because of Him.

(12) is also a very imporant and special age for me because it is when I started performing music professionally. I performed for the first time at the world's oldest jazz club, Detroit's, Baker's Keyboard Lounge.

Another VERY important reason my album is called (12) and will have (12) songs is this. On a piano, the chromatic scale before you get to the next C includes how many notes? You guess it... 12!!! With that said, my album will include 12 songs. One in every key of the chromatic scale.

Hope you enjoyed the read. Leave your comments below!!

There's still time to pre-order and donate to the project as well. Click here.
